Times of Change
As the pandemic subsided, I felt the changing times influencing my creations. Here are some examples from those years...
Four Seasons of Peace
In 2023, I started adding a woman's silhouette as a motif in my paintings to honor my wife and daughter. The flowers in each quadrant of this piece remind me of different places in Latin America...
This piece was created in 4 canvas panels joined together. Each quadrant represents a different season, with flowers from specific places in Latin America. Where the four quadrants join, there is a dove of peace emerging.

Five Elements
I worked for many years as a humanitarian worker internationally, and I always found there were five critical elements that enabled a community to thrive. At the center is the community itself; clothing (or textiles), water, housing, and food are the other four critical elements.
This piece was created using four repurposed stretched-canvas panels, joined together.

Land of Corn
Another piece painted on wood... This one again incorporates a woman's facial profile representing my wife and daughter. This piece reflects the phases of community and harvest.

The Family
Hot Air Balloons
This piece was painted on a kitchen cabinet door. It is called The Mayan Sun. It was a gift to my nephew, JAM.
